Braced sheet piling with tie bars

The use of steel tie bars to undertake excavations without obstacles

The use of sheet piling walls with tie bars has an added advantage with respect to those with braced metal sections: the excavation and on-site installation is carried out without obstacles inside the enclosure or ditch.

  • The sheet piling is braced by means of tie rods composed of solid TITAN steel bars.
  • Space needed in on-site to install a the rear sheet piling wall, parallel to the main wall, in order to transmit to bracing's reaction to the ground (both walls are connected by the tie bars).
  • Possibility of deep excavations without profiles or struts that impede the earthmoving work.
  • Minimum deformation of the wall.
  • Need to carry out the excavation in more than one phase in order to mount the tie rods and the tie beam.
  • All the material is reusable: main and rear sheet piling walls, tie bars and auxiliary parts (plates, tie beams, etc.).
  • The ideal solution in trenches requiring bracing and the installation of very long pipes, which would be impossible to install if struts were to be used.
